The Challenge
One of the primary challenges by any country advancing into higher standards of living collectively is inequality. This challenge seeks solutions that target reducing discrimination and adding more opportunities to marginalized communities in your area - tribes, castes, transgender, women, children or other minorities.
Social safety nets or opportunities that bridge this gap are one of the primary solutions, when implemented correctly.
The Problems we are trying to Solve
Your pitch can outline solutions that focuses on awareness and opportunities in education or income generation for communities deprived of them. The solutions can include any one of the following:
- Access to the same Rights for All - Your Pitch can help a group gain equal access to rights as everyone else. Tell us what is needed, what can be done, how you would carry it out and who will be involved to make change happen.
- Awareness or Education Campaigns - Does your solution focus on spreading awareness to the community on the problems faced by the discriminated group? This can be in the form of a series of events, online or offline campaigns or a mix of both.
- Income Generation and Employment- Any discrimination - religious, caste, gender etc. - includes a gap in employment and income. What is your plan to close this gap?
- Access to Primary and Higher Education - Does your solution involve granting the group access to education? How will you overcome the challenges and gain support?
Judging Criteria
Judges evaluate submitted solutions using the following criteria. Judges assign a numerical score for each criterion from which an average score for each solution is calculated. Each criterion has equal weight. After solutions have been evaluated, a ranked-list of solutions is then created for further consideration by the Judges. Judges deliberate twice: once to select finalists and again to select winners.
Alignment: The solution correctly addresses the Challenge in question.
Potential for Impact: The planned solution implementation has the potential to impact the intended population.
Feasibility: The team has a realistic, practical plan for implementing the solution, and it is feasible in the given context.
Innovative Approach: The solution includes a unique approach to a social issue, new technology, a new business model, or a new process for solving the Challenge.
Understanding uniqueness of a Community or Group: The solution is designed with and for underserved communities, and the solution team are working closely with the community and embodies and addresses key social issues particular to that community through their solution.
Who can submit a Pitch or solution?
Any NGOs, Volunteer or youth organizations and non-profits, both registered and unregistered, operating in Bangladesh can submit a Pitch. You can be an individual, a team, or an organization. You can be an applicant from previous years or already part of our community. It is required that you have at least 6 months of on-field experience on any activity for your organization from any part of Bangladesh to ensure that you can carry out the solution if they get support.
Current and alumni of Kindness Campaign and Pitch for Bangladesh are allowed to apply to a new Challenge; however, the solution must be new and not be the same solution that was previously selected and supported by Pitch for Bangladesh. What type of solutions will Solve accept?
We seek innovative, human-centered solutions to our Pitch Challenges. Our definition of “human-centered” is broad: in addition to understanding what the solution is, we are looking for teams with a deep understanding of the problems of any particular social issue they are trying to solve.
Solution applications must be written in English.
Can my organization submit a solution to multiple Global Challenges?
Of course. Each team can submit as many Submissions as they want.
What will I get if my solution is selected?
If you are selected as a Solver, you’ll be immediately granted access to our month-long Learning Program, which will feature experts from all fields in Bangladesh teaching you how to develop your organization and idea.

Your pitch will be presented to Corporate partners of the platform for funding and partnership. If your goals align with the CSR teams of these corporates, you will be guided through a partnership process. Through these connections, you’ll get funded, build the partnerships needed to accelerate your work, validate your impact and business model, and scale your solution.
Is there a Registration fee?
No. Each team or organization can submit as many pitches as they want, free of cost.
Can I edit my submissions?
Once you submit your pitches, they cannot be edited. If you need to correct something crucial, please feel free to contact us through our social media links in the footer (bottom) of this website.
